I love this item so much it hurts me to admit that my son is getting too big for it! Though i have a vehicle sometimes i must take public transportation (i live in nyc) and the hassle of carrying a stroller with so much people around is simply not the best of all choices. If you are able to adjust the Bjorn properly it shouldnt give you back aches. Though not recommended I've used this for up to 6 hours at a time! My son is now 11 months-21 LBs and I still use it once in a while! Still holds on like new and distributes the babys weight evenly. My husband and I have used this from walks in the park to putting the baby to sleep at night (one would do anything to get some sleep!) I started using it since he was 1 month old... Definetly recommend it to EVERYONE!! (my husband loves wearing it too)

Well, I've had this ramp for about 7 months now and it broke. Hauled the dirt bike (270lbs full fuel) about 8 times and it has bent/twisted itself on the left side. Haven't contacted the manufacturer yet to see if they will warranty it, but its useless now. I was driving down a dirt rode and it twisted forward on the front tire side. Very strange way to bend. Bent towards the truck.

Dissappointed that its already broken.

I can still go through a drive through when on long trips, no problem. The quality is great and it looks cool on the back of my Liberty Renegade. I would recommend this to anyone. Just be sure to get some really good tie downs and you are set.

I read all of the reviews on this product before I purchased. I couldn't tell if some of the installers who were having difficulty were doing so due to a lack of knowledge, improper tools, or just a bit of bad luck. My father owned a full-service gas station all of my life, and I am fairly knowledgeable when it comes to automotive repair and accessory installation. I decided to order.
I read each of the 19 posted reviews to get a better idea of the possible problems that I might encounter. Then, I read the instructions thoroughly and I followed them exactly. Still, this bulky and heavy item would not fit and I just couldn't force it by myself. I was not going to remove the entire bumper and slide the hitch into place as one guy suggested. And as another guy stated, removing the screws for the rear-most exhaust hanger did absolutely nothing as the exhaust pipe dropped less than � inch. For me, the trick was to remove the second rear-most exhaust hanger, which is directly on the backside of the muffler. By removing both exhaust hangers, I finally had enough clearance to insert the hitch into place and temporarily secure it with two bolts. Furthermore, it still required some "gentle" persuasion to move the hitch around to get the last two bolt holes to line up correctly. This installation was not quite as easy as I was hoping.
The hitch looks great, and it is definitely a quality manufactured item. Amazon had the lowest price that I could find anywhere, and the shipping was FREE. As an extra benefit, it is made in the USA! I do recommend this product because the quality is first class. However, I will warn you to be prepared for possible set-backs during the installation if you do it yourself.

The hitch arrived with typical Amazon expediency and was exactly as advertised. I was impressed with the fit and finish.

Installation was just as described in the instructions (follow them exactly!) Since the attachment points are inside the vehicle frame rails, the fit has to be very precise and it takes a bit of finesse to position it correctly, especially if you're doing it solo as I was (having another person to help would be nice), but I encountered no major difficulty. A rubber mallet is handy for tweaking the position to line up the bolt holes.

The hardest part was removing the bumper bolts as the factory had them really torqued down. I didn't have an impact wrench available and it was about all I could do to loosen them with a 25" breaker bar.

This product reeks of quality with good looking welds and a nice powder coating. Installation was easy as the fit was good and there there were good instructions. You'll probably have to drop the tail end of the tail pipe to make installation easier, but that is easy.

I bought the Actron CP9580 to diagnose ABS failure on my 2004 Ford Explorer. Within 10 minutes of opening the box, I knew exactly which speed sensor had failed. I spent about 5 minutes glancing at the instructions, and then another 5 minutes connecting the tool, and reading the error codes. After buying a new sensor, I spent probably 30 minutes installing it. Problem solved!
As stated in some other reviews, make sure it supports your vehicle. It definitely pointed me in the right direction for an ABS failure on a 2004 Explorer.

I was taking a 4000 miles trip with my new sports car and thought a new state-of-the-art radar detector would be a useful things to have, and the 9500IX looked like the best of them based on reviews, etc.

So after the trip, I have to report that even though it's technologically advanced, from a practical perspective I found it useless, and frustrating to drive with.

As I said, I did about 4000 miles - from southern California up through Nevada, Oregon and Washington to and around British Columbia, and back. About half the time I was on freeways, but lots of 2 lane roads as well. Even with Escort's GPS and the database (which I did update before leaving), the false positive rate was still over 99% - I lost track of how many times I stopped passing another car because the detector went off, only to figure out it was just another false alarm. Particularly annoying was getting warned about red light cameras (presumably on nearby intersections) when cruising down the interstate at 70 MPH. There ought to be something to figure out that I am on the highway, and not give me those warnings.

Worse though was the fact that the false negative rate was over 95% - when there is a police car with a cop inside by the side of road watching me, and the detector gave no warning. I realize that the police are probably using instant-on something or visual estimates, and its not the detectors 'fault', but if I have to rely on my eyesight and reaction time, why bother with a radar detector and the gazillion false alarms? I must have seen 40-50 police cars in various places on this trip, and only got advance warnings of 2 of them, one of which was monitoring the other direction, and the other was out of the car with flashers on, both were very visible. So, the detector never helped me in the entire trip. The detector did pick up a couple of oncoming police cars on the interstate, but went off when I was like 100 yards away, which I know from experience will get you a ticket if you are over the threshold.

Particularly alarming was the time I was about a quarter mile behind someone, we were both going pretty fast up hills, and I see a cop on a motorcycle at the side of the road and then see him pull out behind me. He went after the other guy and pulled him over, narry a peep out of the detector. Was there a laser blast just before I got there? I don't know, but it sure made me realize the detector was not helping a lot. And the time I came whipping over the top of a hill to see a state police car sitting in the median. Again, nothing out of the detector, and I braked quickly, no ticket, but another loss of confidence in its usefulness.

The only thing the detector seemed to be good at was picking up those fixed speed signs that take your speed and warn that you are going too fast into a reduced speed section (like for sharp curves) and ought to slow down. It would warn about those a mile in advance, so I would slow down way in advance for something that looked like a real radar trap, only to find out that it was just an unmanned warning, and that I really had no need to slow down at all. After a dozen of those, it just became one more frustration rather than anything that was useful. And then if there was another of those signs further on for oncoming traffic entering the zone, the detector would send another false alarm about that one too.

If I had to say something positive it would be that there is a button on the AC adapter plug to mute the alarms, which makes its easier to turn off false alarms than on other detectors I have owned, where you had to reach forward to press a button on the detector itself.

So, luckily I bought this from a local electronics store and can return it. And concede technological superiority to the police.

I bought this as a spare remote for my Directed Electronics Python car alarm (I don't have remote start installed) installed back in 2008. This Viper remote looks very similar to my Python remote (other than the different names stamped on the top, the other obvious difference is that my Python remote is black while the Viper is dark blue). Both are Model 7701V and my local installer got the Viper to accept the programming. So make sure that the back of your remote has Model 7701V stamped on it.

Note: If you have two remotes and if the remote that you are not using is in range, it takes about 20 seconds for it to receive the lock/unlock status from the car.


Update April 9, 2011. After almost three years of use, one side of the plastic belt clip hinge broke. I contacted Directed and they sent me a replacement at no charge.

That is customer service!
